Columbia University Digital Marketing Project

Omnipresent Columbia University.

For a Columbia University assignment, I volunteered to lead a group of five student colleagues to plan and present a 30-page slide project that detailed the business and marketing objectives of a non-profit organization in the South Bronx providing an array of services to help reduce poverty in the New York City borough.

In addition to coordinating task responsibilities, I was responsible for searching for keywords using the Ahrefs SEO tool by identifying low- to medium-competitive keywords to help the new non-profit build brand awareness.

I also devised the off-page SEO strategy to help drive more traffic to our website by, for example, writing via email the directors of reputable and policy-driven organizations and asking them to link to our website. Those important backlinks would then provide the impetus for being a recognized service provider in the borough.
